Summer Holiday Club
Around 200 children enjoyed holiday clubs in East Leeds thanks to our partnership with local churches and the charity Missional Generation.

We ran a range of activities from outdoor games, craft activities, cooking, pass the parcel, singing and much more.

The healthy eating theme saw lots of children trying fruit and vegetables that were new to them and everyone took away the ingredients to make all the meals at home The events took place at St Richard’s Seacroft and St James Manston for 4 hours for 4 days for 4 weeks!

As well as visits to 4 local places including Temple Newsam Farm and the Wildlife Area at Lotherton Hall, 70 food hampers containing meals for 3-4 days were distributed to families in need.
All children took home a booklet called You Matter” about God’s love and there were several interactive plays each week sharing stories of Jesus.

An amazing team of nearly 50 people from across the community helped taking part.

Kären Gray who leads the charity says

“We want to say a HUGE thank you for all the help from the community. By working together we were able to make a real difference in the lives of young people and families in the area.”
