COMING SOON!
A new Community Fridge & Pantry for LS15

With the cost of living rising dramatically, we are pleased to announce our plans to launch a new community fridge & pantry in partnership with St James’ Manston C of E at their church hall off Church Lane LS15 8JB.

Unlike a food bank it is open to all.

People can either donate surplus food or drop in and get some food when they need it. Customers choose 12 items at a set affordable price of £3.50

Andy our food manager, is already well known in the community. Every week he puts food out to share on his garden wall!

A volunteer collects the food from the allotment at St Benedict’s Church, Garforth.

From potatoes, courgettes and onions to rhubarb and apples, local people can then take away what they need.

How can I help?

We need people to help with ordering food, stocking shelves, serving/chatting to customers, signposting to other help, communication, and book keeping.

We plan to open the new Community Fridge on Thursday afternoons & Friday mornings late October and weekly thereafter. Contact Andy to find out more or get involved on 07840 033637    andy@connectingcrossgates.com
