1to1 helps families with emotional support & signposting. We pair year 6 children with a trained adult who will offer weekly emotional and practical support as they move up to John Smeaton Academy.
• Volunteers are recruited and trained (via online video) by a mentoring expert.
• We provide a resource pack for volunteers covering mental well-being, transition to high school and practical avenues for support.
This project was launched in May 2020, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
